Museum Studies Graduate Certificate Program

Individuals looking to advance their knowledge of museum studies and museum professional practices are encouraged to apply.

Admission Requirements

Applicants for the Museum Studies Graduate Certificate Program are required to have:

  • an undergraduate degree
  • a strong interest in Museum Studies or a related subject

The certificate may enhance degrees in American Studies, Anthropology, Archaeology, Architecture, Art, Art History, Business Administration, History, Library and Information Science, Pacific Island Studies, Political Science, Travel Industry Management. This program may also complement certificate programs in Historic Preservation and International Cultural Studies. 

Cost of Attendance

Current tuition schedules are determined by the Office of Graduate Education. Please be aware that financial aid is not provided for students enrolled solely in the Museum Studies Graduate Certificate Program.

Please note, GRE scores and two letters of recommendation are not required for Museum Studies Graduate Certificate applicants.


The deadline for Fall admission is March 1.
The deadline for Spring admission is September 1.
