Admission Requirements

Applicants for the Museum Studies Graduate Certificate Program are required to have:

• an undergraduate degree
• a strong interest in Museum Studies or a related subject

The certificate may enhance degrees in American Studies, Anthropology, Archaeology, Architecture, Art, Art History, Business Administration, History, Library and Information Science, Pacific Island Studies, Political Science, Travel Industry Management. This program may also complement certificate programs in Historic Preservation and International Cultural Studies. 

Cost of Attendance

Current tuition schedules are determined by the Office of Graduate Education. Please be aware that financial aid is not provided for students enrolled solely in the Museum Studies Graduate Certificate Program.

Application Materials

Applicants are asked to submit the following materials:

• Graduate Admissions Application
• Official transcripts from each university attended
• Application Fee
• Statement of Objectives (500-1000 words)
• Graduate Program Supplemental Information Form

Transcripts and application fees are submitted to the UH Graduate Division. More information about submitting materials to the Graduate Division can be found here.
