The deadline for Fall admission is March 1
The deadline for Spring admission is September 1.
Applicants for the Museum Studies Graduate Certificate Program are required to have an undergraduate degree and possess a strong interest in Museum Studies or a related subject. The certificate may enhance degrees in American Studies, Anthropology, Archaeology, Architecture, Art, Art History, Business Administration, History, Library and Information Science, Pacific Island Studies, Political Science, Travel Industry Management, and compliment certificate programs in Historic Preservation and International Cultural Studies.
Cost of Attendance
For more information on the cost of attendance, please visit the Office of Graduate Education web site for current tuition schedules. Please be aware that financial aid is not provided for students enrolled in the Museum Studies Graduate Certificate Program only.

Applicants are also required to mail directly to the Graduate Admissions Office an official transcript from each university attended. If you are a current UHM graduate student who wishes to pursue a graduate certificate concurrently, download the Concurrent Graduate Certificate Program Application Form and submit to the Office of Graduate Education. All prospective certificate and concurrent students should send the following two items directly to the Museum Studies Graduate Certificate Program (c/o American Studies Department):
