An online natural history digital photography library of digital images of thousands of legacy 35mm slide film produced from faculty research and expeditions. The collection currently includes collections by Charles Lamoureux, Harold St. John, and Mark D. Merlin. The Lamoureux Collection provides a view of the rich biodiversity of Hawaii and peoples of the Pacific/Asia region. Many of the areas in which these photographs were taken now much changed by Hawaii’s population growth. The St. John photographs provide a wonderful window on the ways and means of Pacific Island field botany (Tahiti, Rapa, Fiji) in the 1930’s. Images donated by Dr. Mark Merlin have recently been added to the collection.
